IT’S that time of year again where Newsong brings their Favorite bands and friends on tour with them to cover 41 cities around america. the bands on tour with them were Renee, sean be, thrive worship, zane black, austin french, disciple, anne wilson, andy mineo, jeremy camp, and last, but not least we the kingdom.
as soon as you arrived at the arena for winterjam, you could just see all the people lined up for Sundays winterjam in jacksonville, FL. the line to get into the arena wrapped around the building to where the bands and ARTISTS parked the buses. some of the first people to get into the arena were there before LUNCHTIME to be the first ones in line and to get in and for good reason.
one of my favorite bands that went on for the night was disciple. having seen them many times before, they had a renewed energy in them and did amazing!! i do have to say one of my favorite parts of a disciple show: TO hear Kevin speak and give a testimony, but he was not able to this time around since they had zane black to give the gospel, which was a treat!!
two people that have been on the Winterjam tour before were andy Mineo and also Jeremy Camp. Andy mineo brought an awesome performance and seemed to have a hard time getting out there on stage and PERFORMING, but there was some nudging going on and he finally got up there and did what he does best and also got some of the crowd into it as well. Of course jeremy camp gave an amazing concert as he always does while rockin those air jordans to give him some lift to jump. I always love hearing jeremy camp and how he worships through his songs!!
the one group i didn’t know much about and only HEARD a couple OF songs on the RADIO was we the kingdom. before they performed, i was not thinking i was going to enjoy them all that much, but once they started, they got my attention. the moment they came out up to the very end, they were NON-STOP entertainment. if you have not seen we the kingdom in concert before, you need to go see them live, radio doesn’t do them justice. also, when i say they entertain you until the end, you better not leave early as they have a surprise for you at the end THAT you will not want to miss.
overall, winterjam was excellent this year and the crowd was amazing with all of the artists and bands as well. you will not want to miss this years tour as it was incredIBLE. you can go to www.jamtour.com to select THE city you can go to and get a Jam nation MEMBERSHIP which cost a little extra, but you can get into the arenas before everyone else or you can just wait at the door and go in, which is $15 at the door. my advice is to spend the extra money and get in a little earlier. have a great winterjam 2023!!!
